Sunday Mornings

Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness. Psalms 29:2

Timeless Truth Today's Way. Worship is a gathering of God’s people to praise God and deepen our understanding together.  Sharon Presbyterian believes God’s word is as applicable today as it has always been.  The message delivered in these services is rooted in God’s Word and applied to our lives.

Contemporary worship

8:30-9:15am, Chapel bldg
Enjoy contemporary music and a spiritually fulfilling message you can relate to, within an intimate, welcoming environment.

What to Expect
We wear jeans, but dress how you like.

Nursery Care, Activity Bldg Rooms 3-5
Children are welcome in this casual service.  Also, if you desire, children under age 4 are invited to the Nursery for play time if parents would like to use the time to fully focus on their personal worship.

Sunday classes

9:30-10:15am, various locations
Sunday school for all ages, from preschool to adults, is available to delve more deeply into God’s word and teachings.  See the adult, youth, and kids website pages for details.

Traditional worship

10:30-11:30am, Sanctuary of main building
This worship service is “traditional” in style and structure, and every service includes Biblically-based sermons, prayer, and beautiful music that inspires.  On occasion, you’ll experience the sweet musical talent of our children and youth, hear the word of God or a musical inspiration from a guest.

What to expect
Many come in their Sunday best, but you will often find congregation members dressed more casually.

Nursery Care, Activity Bldg Rooms 3-5
If you desire, children under age 4 are invited to the Nursery for play time while parents enjoy their worship experience.

Wiggling Worshipers
Preschool children ages 4-6 are welcome to the traditional worship service, and then invited to attend a separate worship activity following the Children’s Sermon. This is a fun worship opportunity for these ages who are not yet ready to sit through “big church”.  They will be escorted from the Sanctuary immediately following the Children’s Sermon by adult volunteers holding the “Children’s Church” sign.  Parents are invited to enjoy the remainder of the service and then meet their kids in the Sanctuary building’s Heritage Room after worship.

Special Sundays

Sharon Presbyterian follows the traditional “liturgical calendar” of holidays and service topics.  We also enjoy celebrating the life of our church within our Sunday services.  Watch the announcements for special recognitions or topics such as vacation bible school, new communicants recognition, Christian education recognition, guests for world missions, youth-led Sunday, and more.

On the first Sunday of every month, Sharon Presbyterian enjoys communion together in both services.

About once per quarter, Sharon Presbyterian enjoys a special Sunday as an entire congregation, celebrating a special time or enjoying a congregation-wide service opportunity.  Keep an eye out for these, as they may be an adjustment in worship time or location, have extra opportunities to fellowship together, and be an extra special time to celebrate and worship together.
