Prayground

We welcome children of all ages as important members of the body of Christ and of our congregations. We offer several Praygrounds in our worship spaces. These small tables are stocked with activities for young children who might not yet attend church school or who may need something to keep them occupied during worship. The prayground is not intended to be a nursery; instead it is intended to be a space for parents to sit with their children in an area that is designed for them!

Parents of Little Ones (POLO)

All parents of little ones birth-preschool age are welcome! This group meets on the first and third Sundays of the month from 3:30-4:30pm and is an opportunity to gather with other parents whose lives are equally messy, joyful, difficult, and full of transition. We will start with story time as a group in the nursery and then break off so parents can have some time to connect with each other.

Nursery

We have a nursery located in the hallway between the Celebration Hall and the Sanctuary. Parents are welcome to use this space with their children during worship or during other church activities. Audio from the Celebration Hall is available in the nursery via controls on the wall. Please do not leave your children unattended.

Welcome to Baptism Class

We welcome all to the font at Sharon. Baptisms are usually performed during worship. In preparation for baptism, we ask that you attend one of our “Welcome to Baptism” classes offered monthly at Sharon. Sponsors, if available, are welcome to attend in addition to parents or the individual to be baptized if applicable. Please check the calendar or contact the office (701-772-3122) for the next available class. To register for this class, please contact the church office by the Friday before the class or use the form below.

This one-hour class is designed to help answer questions about baptism, including:

  • What is Baptism?
  • When should baptism occur?
  • What is my role as a parent, sponsor, or family member of the baptized?
Faith Formation Ministries recognizes that the seed of faith starts at birth and it is our covenant to grow and nurture that faith
by building relationships with our young people, by supporting young people's relationships with God, by living one’s faith through
mission and service, and by experiencing faith as a vibrant and compassionate way to live life connected to God and others.
