Director of Music for Adults and Children
Music is a vital component of our worship services here at South Elm. We seek to honor God through our music by offering our whole hearts to Him as we lift up our voices in praise. We use a blend of traditional hymns with some contemporary praise music to express ourselves as Colossians 3:16 says, “sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”
Adult Music Ministry
The adult music ministry consists of the adult choir, praise team, soloist and musicians. The choir ministers during our 11:00 am Worship service and at special services throughout the year. Special music and dramatic events are done at Christmas and Easter. Adult Choir Rehearsal is on Wednesdays at 8pm.
Children’s Music Ministry
Children’s choir begins at grade one and goes through grade six. The Children’s choir meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm as they prepare to help lead in worship on Sundays and at Christmas and Easter.
