WOMEN’S MINISTRY

M.O.M.S/MOTHERS OFFERING MINISTRY SERVICES:
The Goal of the M.O.M.S Group is to be the kind of woman, wife, and mother God has called us to be. The M.O.M.S Group is open to women of all ages, and is open to both members and non-members of South Elm Street Baptist Church. The M.O.M.S Group has been in existence for approximately 5 years and was first established with the purpose of encouraging and providing a Christian support system for new mothers. While the group is focused on ministering to mothers with young children, we also welcome other mothers and women without children as well.

This group meets the first Friday and third Tuesday of each month of each month from 10:30am-12:00pm. Childcare is provided for a minimal cost of $1. Throughout the year we strive to reach out to the community through events such as our Consignment Sales, Meal Ministry (for new mothers and those in need) and our Bible Study Groups.

ENTWINE WITH THE VINE
Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” With this passage as their foundation, this ministry was established in January of 2003 and is designed to encourage women of the church and as an outreach tool in the community, with quarterly events of particular interest to women of all ages. Childcare is provided for every event, with age-appropriate activities planned for the children. There are many opportunities to serve the Lord via this ministry, and all are welcome. God is providing growth in this ministry. Our goals include future women’s conferences, guided prayer retreats, and mentoring programs.
