Interim Pastor
Reverend Edward K. "Ned" Beckes was reared in a Christian family and a Presbyterian congregation in suburban Pittsburgh, PA. After graduation from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA he entered Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA in 1969 and was ordained in 1972 as a Minister of Word and Sacraments in the Presbyterian Church and has been active in a number of Presbyteries throughout the denomination. After serving several churches in Virginia, Missouri and Tennessee in traditional installed pastorate situations Ned's ministry took on a different focus. In the mid-1980's he felt called to respond to several interim relationships that evidenced God’s renewing grace, primarily in congregations suffering the dissolution of pastoral relationships. As a specialty, "Intentional Interim Ministry" implies a nomadic lifestyle. Over the past 20 years, Ned has served churches located in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and New York! Ned and his wife, Mimi, recently, relocated their “home base" to Lexington, KY, near extended family and they move temporarily into new church families as God's call directs.
