35th Annual South Salem Presbyterian Church
Memorial Day Races & Fair
May 30, 2011 from 8:00am until 3:00pm
What a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience a slice of pure Americana. Savor the simple charm of a small town parade—the gleaming fire trucks, beaming Brownies and cub scouts (always one with his shirt tails hanging out) marching proudly down Main Street waving flags.
The fair opens with a series of races, all starting at the South Salem Library on Main Street with registration starting at 7:00 a.m. The 10K starts at 8:00 a.m , a 5K at 9:30. For those who wanted a more moderate workout, there is a health walk following the 5K runners around this course. Youth Mile Fun Run and Peewee races begin after the others finished. For race spectators frozen fruit smoothies and iced coffee served by Nature's Temptations of Ridgefield, CT will be a welcomed treat especially if the temps soar!
There will be craft booths, baked goods for sale, and many opportunities to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Races, silent auction, games, moon bounce and more! Plus enough hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream to feed the entire town! Read more detail below and email us with any questions!
