Looking for something different? We created Revelations with you in mind. We gather at 8:30 AM every Sunday morning in Potts Hall for fellowship and worship. It may be early, but our praise band “Joyful Noise,” gets things rockin’ with upbeat contemporary worship songs that will soon get you on your feet, clapping your hands. The music in the service is led by a band of musicians that include 3-5 singers, keyboard, guitars, bass, and drums.
We may be Presbyterians, but we can really lift our hearts and voices to the Lord in this service. We even pay homage to familiar hymns, though our version of “Amazing Grace,” may have you pulling out that old Eagles album when you get home.
For those of you with traditional roots, you won’t find pews or hymnals, but you’ll find the samescripture-based, Christ-inspired message you’ll hear in the traditional service as well the Apostle’s Creed that unites us as one body in Christ. Instead of singing from a hymnal, the words to songs are projected on a video screen.
We live up to our motto, “Food for the Body and the Soul,” with a delectable breakfast spread that we serve buffet style every Sunday morning. What started out as coffee and donuts has grown to a full-fledged potluck replete with casseroles, grits, and more than one way to satisfy a sweet tooth.
The service is designed to be more of a relaxed worship atmosphere where folks can dress casually. While some men wear coats and ties and some women dresses, what you wear to the service does not matter. You will see people dressed up as well as dressed down. The disposition of the heart in worship is what matters.
We do hope you’ll come by and give us a try. Breakfast is on us. Come for the food for the body. Stay for the food for the soul.
The nursery is provided – children are encouraged to stay for the service.
