The Reverend Alison Propeck Harrity was born in Watertown, NY in 1973 to Diane and David Propeck. The family moved to Miami when she was four years old and she calls Florida home. A graduate of Coral Gables High School, Alison went on to complete her undergraduate studies at William Smith College in Geneva, NY with a major in psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. From there she worked as the Youth Minister at St. David’s Church in Wayne, PA to gain church staff experience before entering seminary. In 1997, Alison entered Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA as a postulant for Holy Orders sponsored by St. Thomas Church in the Diocese of Southeast Florida. St. Gregory’s Church in Boca Raton called Alison to serve as their assistant after she graduated from seminary in 2000. Both Spencer (April 2001 and Libby May 2003) were born in Boca Raton. She served there until September of 2004 when she accepted a call back to St. David’s in Wayne. After a fruitful ministry for seven years Alison is happy to come “home” to Florida and thrilled to be a part of the St. Richard’s family.
