Dear Father Mackin:

This letter is to confirm in writing our recent conversation relative to your appointment to establish the new parish at Fox Point.  This letter can serve as your official appointment to the assignment effective Friday, June 21st.

At a meeting of the interested pastors last week the boundaries of the new parish were established by mutual agreement.  As indicated in our previous conversations your first task will be to find a place where you can live temporarily and also a place where you can gather your people on a temporary basis.  I presume that you have already looked into this matter to some extent.

Please be assured that I will be happy to discuss any of your prblems with you.  I am confident that you will do a fine job in establishing the new parish.  I will also be happy to determin with you what name the new parish shall have.

With every best wish and blessing, I remain

Very sincerely yours in Christ,

Archbishop of Milwaukee
