Welcome
IMMIGRATION REFORM

Based on the Gospel and the teachings of the Catholic Church, the Immigration Team endeavors to promote the recognition of human dignity in our immigrant brothers and sisters by standing in solidarity with them in the pursuit of justice.  We see this mission as one that is required of us in recognition of the basic human rights of all people.  But more than this, we seek to welcome the stranger in fulfillment of the Gospel imperative – to treat our migrant sisters and brothers as we would Christ himself.

We have many resources available on our advocacy website.  For instance, we have a whole section on background information and church teaching which will help you get your bearings on the issue – and understand why we have taken the position we have taken.  You may also be interested in our Frequently Asked Questions, which address issues we are commonly confronted with in conversations about this contentious issue.

Additional information can be found on our “Resources” page, which contains links to our partners, publications, and related links.

If you are still looking for more information or still have unanswered questions, we would encourage you to contact Pat McIlmoyle at 596-5493 or by email.  You may also contact the Coalition staff at any time.  To do so, click here.

If you are interested in joining our efforts, we would be overjoyed to have you be a part of the team!  We meet regularly as a team to discuss recent developments in legislation and strategize avenues for advocacy.  Those meetings - including date, time, and location - are listed here.
