Adult Class I

Rooms 6&7

This traditional class is Bible-text based, with lessons taken from the Augsburg Bible Studies Quarterly.  Class provides studies covering a wide range of Biblical books and themes each year.  The texts are penned by writers with established reputations in  biblical scholarship, who provide thorough, in-depth Bible studies.  Join us for this continuous study of Scripture.  Couples and singles of all ages are invited to attend.

Adult Class II

Room 1

Facilitator:  Conrad Derrick

This is a discussion class on the book Surprised by Hope:  Rethinking Heaven, the Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church by N.T. Wright.  What is heaven really like? Is our duty to simply help non-Christians get there? In six invigorating, faith-inspiring sessions, N.T. Wright explores hope, resurrection, heaven, the  second       coming, salvation, and the church---revealing that what we believe about the future has a direct impact on how we live in the present. The class will watch a DVD presentation by Dr. Wright and then use the discussion questions in the book.  Couples and singles of all ages are invited to attend.

Adult Class III

Room 8

Facilitator:  Kristi Horger

This is a Young Adult class for single and married adults. The class will participate in a video based study of Detrich Bonhoeffer.  The study will focus on the major themes of his writing and speaking and how he not only helped transform an entire faith community in Germany during World War II, but how his beliefs  continue to impact the Christian faith of people throughout the world today.  This will be a four-week study to be followed by a study based on the book, Christianity: The First Three Thousand Years by Diarmaid MacCulloch.
