Susan was born in Ft. Walton Beach, FL and lived in California, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana before moving back to Florida. She attended University of Louisiana at Monroe, majoring in History. Susan worked at a software development company for almost 17 years and left there as a Senior Product Analyst and later worked for a commercial real estate broker for 6 years.

She joined St. Mark's in 2006 as Worship Coordinator. She creates all Sunday and holiday bulletins, schedules chalice bearers, lectors, greeters, and callers. She also works with lay members to schedule acolytes, altar and chapel guilds, ushers, vergers and oblationers. She is a member of the Altar Guild, Contemporary Choir, Chalice Bearers, Verger Guild and Lectors.

She has been a member of St. Mark's since her marriage in 1988 to Whitney Morgan. She enjoys travel, reading, gardening, computers and being with her husband and dog, Stewart.
