Children's Music Programs
The Cherub Choir
For children age 4 through second grade, the "cherubs" make up our youngest choir. Their rehearsals are part of our wonderful Children's Chapel program during the 8:45 family service on Sundays - meaning no extra mid-week rehearsals for this group! All a child needs to do to particiapte is to come to the 8:45 service on Sundays and go to Children's Chapel. During chapel, we sing songs, both old and new, and then sing some of them during for everyone during the service every four or five weeks.
St. Mark's Choristers

St. Mark’s Choristers is for children in the second grade and higher, and its purpose is to inspire in them a lifelong love of music, to teach them music fundamentals, to instill in them the importance of leadership, teamwork, and responsibility, and to provide musical leadership for Sunday’s 8:45 family service all within the context of a fun and worthwhile after-school program.
The Choristers follow the Royal School of Church Music program in which they work through several levels of achievement (represented by colored ribbons) as they learn to sing, read music, and be leaders in worship. In addition to singing, various fun activities are offered, including a yearly choir camp, free piano lessons, and occasional outings and fun days. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:45, followed by the optional piano lessons until 5:30. This choir takes a break for the summer from roughly June until September. For more details, download the brochure here, or contact James Holyer at the church office with questions or to sign up.

The Royal School of Church Music Choristers’ Prayer
Bless, O Lord, us Thy servants, who minister in Thy temple. Grant that what we sing with our lips, we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts, we may show forth in our lives. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
