Jon Coffey was born on a mountain-top in Tennessee, and raised in Miami, Florida. He attended schools in Miami and then graduated from college in Vermont. After marrying the former Julie Gibson in July of 1974, he attended Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Chicago, the General Theological Seminary in New York and St. Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary in Crestwood, NY. His focus of study was healing and spiritual development in a family systems perspective.  

Jon and Julie enjoy outdoor activities, the arts and opportunities for service. They have two children, Kate (30) who lives in St. Paul, MN with her husband, and Spencer (27) who lives in Phoenix, AZ.

Jon's ongoing passion is for health and wholeness within the body of Christ, the wider world and all creation.
