Our next bib workshop is Monday, June 25th, beginning at 10 a.m. Brenda, Pat, and Debbie will be our hostesses for that day. We need additional sewing machines. If you have a portable one, please bring it.

Dues: Please send in dues now for the next calendar year of September 07-08. $35.00 check, payable to St. Veronica’s chapter, Daughters of the King. Send to Bobbie. She will write one check for our entire chapter. All members, with the exception of four, have sent in their dues. Let’s get this taken care of immediately.
Daughters of the King Banner: Think about the content of a banner for St. Veronica’s Chapter; we’ll talk about our ideas on July 2nd. We had a lovely contribution of buttons from Marge Hyde, which Rosanne is certain that we can use on our banner.
Expansion of bib project: I spoke to Senior Democrats today and received an enthusiastic interest in our project. Gaston County Democratic Party plans to contribute to our project in August with the donation of towels.
Expansion of our chapter: An announcement will appear in this week’s bulletin regarding the second Study for Admission that we will begin in late July. If you know of women who’ve expressed an interest in becoming a Daughter, please encourage her to participate in this study. We’ll talk at the July meeting about the sharing of responsibilities as St. Veronica’s Chapter grows. The proposed study will last from late July until the first of December. Those women will be admitted to St. Veronica’s during a service in February as we Daughters rededicate ourselves to our vows of prayer and service. This day, add a prayer of thanksgiving for our order and its work in our parish and our community.
