Eucharistic Procession

“What the world needs is God’s love; it needs to encounter Christ and to believe in him. The Eucharist is thus the source and summit not only of the Church's life, but also of her mission.”- Sacramentum Caritatis, #84

The Eucharistic Revival is an opportunity to renew the Church! As we continue enkindling our living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist, we as a parish are attentive to strengthening our liturgical life. On Sunday, June 11, our 11am Mass will conclude with a Eucharistic Procession around the block. All are welcome!

Public processions with the Blessed Sacrament offer witness to our belief in Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist. Our procession reminds us that we are pilgrims on a journey, following Jesus.

The Diocese of Cleveland has provided a prayer for Eucharistic Revival that has been translated into 16 different languages, to encompass the diversity of our Cleveland Diocese. They have compiled a video that celebrates our cultures while bringing us together around our shared love of the Eucharist – and it features a familiar face! See the video at:

St. Patrick's Day Party

On a Saturday in March, you can find a little bit of Ireland in the SMM Gym.  The annual St. Patrick’s Party has been a tradition for over 25 years.  It is a great event with plenty of dancing, eating and partying.  This party is a fundraiser for the Francis J. O’Hara Scholarship that is given to an 8th grader from SMM Parish who attends a neighboring Catholic grade school and is continuing their education at a Catholic High School.  It is awarded in Frankie’s memory who jumped into the frigid Lake Erie back in the 60’s to save his friend from drowning.  Frankie O’Hara embodies the Scripture:  “Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends”
