The Vestry of St. Mary's
The Vestry of St. Mary's Parish is comprised of the Rector, two lay wardens and ten lay parishioners. Baptized men and women who are qualified electors of the parish are eligible to serve as Vestry members.
Qualified electors are communicants of the parish age sixteen or over, whose names have been on the parish roster for at least one month preceding the Annual Parish Meeting and who have made recorded contributions to the budget.
Members of the Vestry are also required to:
o Attend worship regularly
o Tithe or be moving toward tithing
o Pledge and contribute regularly
o Attend Vestry meetings regularly
o Participate in the Vestry retreat weekend
o Assume active committee assignments
o Serve a full three-year term
The Clerk serves as a non-voting participant whose duty is to record and archive the offical business of the vestry.
