Our Schools

St. Michael School

St. Michael School is a vital part of the mission of St. Michael Catholic Church. St. Michael School will provide a Christ centered Catholic education, with a focus on academic excellence, and development of each individual.

Statement of Objectives

  1. To develop the total Christian personality by instilling in the students a respect for life and reverence for Christian living.
  2. To develop within the school a strong, religious education program based on Catholic Theology, Scripture and Liturgical experience, so that each child will grow and develop in the Christian way of life.
  3. To facilitate the intellectual, social and physical development of each child through a variety of instructional methods such as small and large group instruction, departmental classes and other tools for basic knowledge and formation.
  4. To aid students in evaluation of their own capabilities and vocational possibilities.

It is the consensus of the faculty that every human being has a right to pursue knowledge corresponding with his/her dignity and God-given ability, regardless of background or sex. In the early years, education is often of the utmost importance because through education and guidance the children of today become the Catholic citizens of tomorrow.

Early Childhood Center

St. Michael Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides half-day preschool programs for:

  • Two Year Old: Two (2) years old by 8/31/2014
  • Three Year Old: Three (3) years old by 8/31/2014
  • Four Year Old: Four (4) years old by 8/31/2014
  • Developmental Kindergarten: Five (5) years old by 10/31/2014

Programs begin in September and end in May.

St. Michael's Early Childhood Center provides a caring environment in which children can grow socially, emotionally, mentally, creatively, and spiritually. In this environment children can discover the inherent goodness in all that they are. It is an atmosphere in which children can learn to live effectively with themselves and others and also begin to acquire a sense of identity while experiencing many chances for success. In a world that grows more competitive each day, the staff of the ECC assists children to experience happiness and success in a noncompetitive environment by making material available in an interesting, exciting manner so that they can be children, free to play, explore, and imagine in the course of a child oriented day.
