It's Time to Donate More Greenpoints!
Parishioners were very generous in donating Lowe’s greenpoints to St. Paul’s during the past three years and we need you to donate again. Lowe’s requires that you donate at least 3,000 points or more at one time. You can donate on line at www.greenpoints.com or by calling 1-800-311-2117. The St. Paul’s account number is 4202 2207 8821. In the past we have been able to buy sheets, pillows, coffee makers, pots and pans, slow cookers, towel sets, bedspreads and much more to furnish the two apartments at St. Paul’s Place to Stay. After a year and a half of continuous use, we need to replace some items and restock others. We also can buy some of the items that Denise needs in the church’s kitchen to help keep it restocked. Measuring cups, spoons and pot holders regularly disappear in our busy kitchen. Thanks for helping our church by donating your greenpoints!

- Be a Reception Desk Volunteer!
Are you willing to give a few hours of your time to answer the phone in the church office? No experience necessary! A friendly smile is the only requirement. All you have to do is sit at the reception desk and answer the phone. It's as easy as that! We have an immediate need for Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Please call the church office at 723-4391 and speak to John Markle if you are interested.

- Calling all Shutterbugs

We even have a camera you can use! Please contact Tara Pemble, Communications Coordinator at 723-4391 or E-mail for more information.

- Senior Adults visit Abingdon, Virginia on July 31
Join us on July 31 as we travel to the beautiful mountain town of Abingdon, Virginia. Our first stop will be the historic Martha Washington Inn where we will enjoy the delicious Barter Lunch Buffet. Then it's across the street to the Barter Theater. Here we will see Andrew Lloyd Webber's compelling musical, Evita. This musical tells the story of the life of Eva Peron, former first lady of Brazil and saint to the working class. Evita creates an arresting portrait as complex as the woman herself. We will travel on our new bus, departing from St. Paul's parking lot at 9 a.m. We will return to Winston-Salem by 8 p.m. Total cost for transportation, lunch and theater is $70. If you would like to join us call Carol Cook at the church (723-4391 x213) and mail Carol your check payable to St. Paul's.

- St. Paul’s Heritage: Place Yourself on the Timeline
The first phase of St. Paul's transition process is to look back at our rich heritage. One tool for reviewing our heritage is to develop a timeline for our church. We are asking every member of St. Paul's to help create our timeline. You are each encouraged to take part in this process by recording your own history. This recently-installed timeline is on the wall on the third floor of the new building outside the Chapel. Please write your name and the name of a family member on stickers provided, then place the stickers on the year in which you or your loved one joined St. Paul's or were baptized, confirmed, married, died or ordained at St. Paul's. There is a different color sticker for each event. Thanks for participating in our transition process.

- Summer Choir
For June and July, Summer Choir rehearsals will begin in the Choir Room each Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. sharp. Each week we will not only rehearse the anthem(s) for the Sunday at hand, but also the anthem for the following Sunday as well. We will then move to the Nave around 9:00 to rehearse that Sunday's anthem and service music with the organ.
Please feel free to vest prior to the 8:15 rehearsal. Our dedicated Music Assistant, Carol Covington, will be all too happy to help you find a robe and a music cubby assignment. Let's fill the choir stalls on each Sunday in June and July!
