Facelift Planned for Thrift Shop
Thanks to the Knights of Columbus St. Philip Council 14482 and St. Francis Council 9317, the Fayette Cares thrift shop will soon have long needed improvements.
The Knights of Columbus, an organization of Catholic men dedicated to charity, jumped at the opportunity to serve Fayette Cares. When member Hank Coccoza identified the need for thrift shop enhancements, he mobilized a talented team, including Project Manager Ron Higgons and Architect Mike Wiss, to lead the project. The group is now finalizing remodeling plans to expand and enhance the shopping environment. These efforts will not only improve the shop's ability to raise funds for services, they will be part of a larger effort to create a training environment for Fayette Cares clients. Such a program will allow clients to develop job skills, building hope, independence and lasting solutions.
