Walk for Africa - Sept. 30

I have been working with young children for over 25 years and have been teaching at STM for 18 years. I am a native of North Carolinia and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. I have lived in the Chapel Hill area for many years. My daughter Betsy is a senior at East Carolina University. I like to garden, read, and be with my family. Much of my "free time" is spent enjoying outdoor activities.Teaching Pre-K is always fun and exciting for me! It is an absolute blessing for me to be here at STM!

This is my 10th year as a teaching assistant at STM and 9th year in Pre-K with Ms. Wilson. I grew up in Pennsylvania and have lived in Southern California before making North Carolina my home for the past 17 years. My husband, Mike, and I have three children: two NCSU graduates and one NCSU sophomore. I am also a student at ECU working towards my teaching degree. I love hockey (Go Canes!), reading, and spending time with my family. Helping young children grow and learn is a blessing each day!

• Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
• You must first sign in at the computer near the office and print out  a volunteer sticker and wear your ID badge.
• After signing in, report directly to the art and music building, library, or new gym (not to the Pre-K classroom) to receive instructions from the teacher.
• Please make other arrangements for siblings when you are volunteering.
