Alpha Ministries
The Alpha Course at Trinitarian Congregational Church is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. It's the place to explore and investigate Christianity in a casual, friendly and informal setting. Each Alpha meeting includes a dinner, followed by a video or live presentation on some aspect of Christianity. Meetings then divide into small groups for discussion. A weekend retreat, midway through, rounds out the agenda. For more information about the Alpha course at TCC, please contact the church office at 508-358-7717 or email lsoiles@tccwayland.org  .
Meeting Topics:
  • Alpha Celebration Dinner
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • How can I be sure of my faith?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • Why and how do I pray?
  • How does God guide us?
  • The Holy Spirit overnight Retreat
  • How can I resist evil?
  • Why and how should we tell others?
  • Does God heal today?
  • What about the church?
Trinitarian Congregational Church has been offering the Alpha Course since the Fall of 1999. Alpha is for anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Participants have included atheists, agnostics and skeptics, as well as eager seekers. All are welcome, and invited to contribute to the discussion. Others who have found the course helpful are long time Christians who want a refresher course in their faith. What everyone finds is a community of people who become fast friends. In fact, in many cases, the Alpha groups continue to meet when the course concludes, using the weekly time for prayer, Bible study and as a support group.
