HopeKeepers
HopeKeepers Full Page
HopeKeepers is a Christian-based support group for individuals living with chronic illness and/or pain. Now in its fourth year, the Trinitarian HK group strives to sustain the spiritual and emotional needs of its members through fellowship, prayer and Bible study. HopeKeepers meets weekly to examine Bibically-based books that deal with "suffering" and coping with life in a Christian manner. We are currently studying Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in Dr. Haddon Robinson's "What Jesus Said About Successful Living: A Study on the Sermon on the Mount." We welcome new members at any time. If you are interested in joining our group, or forming one of your own, call Cindy Leonard at 508-653-3743.

HopeKeepers is a valuable and much needed ministry in Massachusetts. There are currently only three such groups in the state. For more information on starting a HopeKeeper group log on to
www.restministries.org. HopeKeepers is also supported by Vision New England's Disability Ministries.

HopeKeepers was launched by Lisa Copen, founder and director of
Rest Ministries. Copen lives in California and suffers with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Rest Ministries is an online support site, which offers many resources and links, to cope with living with chronic illness.

Testimonies from TCC HopeKeepers
"HopeKeepers to me is understanding, support of others, plus learning to understand the pain I live with through Jesus' eyes; which enables me, in turn, to help others to know Jesus and understand His love for them. HopeKeepers has certainly caused me to rethink and cope more successfully."
"Our HopeKeepers group has shown me how to transform my illness from a source of self-pity to a means to draw closer to God. Through study of Lisa Copen's books and other Christian literature I have learned that trusting and obeying God is the best way to disarm fear - which is the core of all suffering. The support group also allows me to comfortably share feelings and aid other Christians with chronic illness."
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion, and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4
