The Stephen Ministry provides confidential one-to-one Christian care to persons in need.
Stephen Ministers are trained church members who assist the pastor and pastoral staff in ministering to the spiritual needs of others in the church family, and assist them through difficult times in their Christian walk.
When we face some of life's most difficult challenges and traumas such as:
- Loss of a Loved One
- A Broken Marriage
- Unemployment
- A Moral Dilemma
- Major Illness or Surgery
- A New Baby
- Retirement
- A Child in Trouble or at Risk
- Being Shut In
- Hospitalization
- Loneliness
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Grief
These are times when there is a need for spiritual friendships and spiritual guidance.
There may be times when we feel the need to confide in someone other than the pastor.
To be a Stephen Minister is a true calling from Christ to a caring, compassionate person that wants to go one step further.
Training prepares and equips Stephen Ministers to be the eyes, the ears, the hands and the hearts of Christ as He ministers through us.
