What to Expect

What is worship like?
We have several worship services at Trinity Lutheran Church and School each week in a variety of styles.  See our worship schedule since since service times vary through the season.

At every Saturday evening and Sunday morning worship service you will have the opportunity to sing, pray, hear Biblical teaching.  We call this our 'traditional" service. You will be treated to wonderful choir music at these services.  Sometimes the handbell choir replaces the singing choir.  A special treat occurs when one of the children's choirs sing.

On 1st and 3rd Sunday weekends we share in the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion).  During the time Communion is served all are invited to come forward and approach the altar.  If you wish wish to partake in the "Lord's Supper" and if you are a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, please do so.  If you are a non-Missouri Synod visitor we welcome you to our service, however you should talk to a pastor or elder to see if communion  is appropriate for you.  If you are a visitor feel free to stay in your pew, relax,  and enjoy the singing

We have a contemporary worship service on Sunday morning at 11am.  We call this service "Reveal".   Come and join in with our fun, upbeat, musically oriented service.

Each service is approximately 60 minutes in length. We have greeters and ushers at every worship service who are there to serve and assist you.  Occasionally there will be Baptisms during the service or testimonies from individuals or missionaries.

If you have a question or need assistance, please ask!

Is there something for my kids?
Yes! At Trinity we value families and want to serve you and your kids!

  • Worship together - We welcome children in all of our worship services!  The rear three pew rows are reserved for those with young children.  If they become fussy, you can easily slip out without disturbing others.
  • Sunday School every Sunday at 9:30 am for children from 3 years to 6th grade. Click here for more Sunday School information.
  • There is a nursery for the little ones.  The nursery is  located near the south door
  • There are various youth groups for all age groups.

Are there Adult Bible Studies?
Yes! We have Adult Bible Studies each Sunday during the school year. Please visit our Bible Studies page to find complete list of our current Bible Studies online. We also have small groups that meet throughout the week both at church and in the convenience of member's homes.

What's the "dress code?"
We believe that God is more interested in your heart than what kind of clothes you wear. At Trinity you'll see a wide variety of clothing. Some people prefer to "dress-up," but it's not unusual to see people wearing jeans. Choose some comfortable clothes and come see us!

Will I be contacted by Trinity Lutheran Church?
On your first visit, we understand you may want to lay low and observe as you get your bearings on this new place. You won't be put "on the spot" at our worship services.

At some point, our staff would love the opportunity to meet or talk with you personally. If you'd like someone to follow up with you, you can fill out an attendance card located in the pew rack and a pastor will call you.  You can also call the office at 708-532-9395.  Or you can send us a question or comment right now!
