CATHEDRAL RESTORATION RELIC SALE
Sunday, August 21, 2011, following the 10:00 a.m. service
Relics from the recently completed restoration of the Cathedral will be offered for sale on Sunday, August 21, following the 10:00 a.m. service. Small items will be in the Cathedral Courtyard and include bookmarks, 14”x16” “cushionettes” made from old pew cushion material, floor tiles with crosses, and “comfort crosses” made from boards taken out of the Cathedral - boards that were cut from trees growing in 1700! Larger items will be on the ground floor of the TCMM, including complete spires (both large and small), old pew cushions, heart pine lumber, doors, windows, brass-topped railings, and basically anything from the Cathedral building that could not be used again. There are also lots of odds and ends - the inventory is too numerous to list. All proceeds from these sales will go to the Bicentennial Restoration Fund.
