The Session 2008 
The elders who direct the affairs
of the church well
are worthy of double honor,
especially those whose work is preaching and teaching." - 1 Timothy 5:17
The church Session consists of the pastor (moderator), associate pastor(s) and ruling elders. Some of the Session's responsibilities are:
- maintain the spiritual government of the church
- to oversee the Christian conduct of church members
- to examine, ordain and install ruling elders and deacons
- to make decisions affecting church property
- to call congregational meetings
- to establish and oversee Sunday School and Bible Studies
- to promote world missions
- to promote obedience to the Great Commission
- to oversee administration of the Sacraments
- to have authority over aspects of worship & music
- to hold stated meetings
- to keep an accurate record of its proceedings
- to keep an accurate record of baptisms, of communing members, etc.
