Prayer Suggestions

The intent of this list is to provide helpful specific suggestions for prayer in keeping with the resolution passed by both the Diaconate and the Session.

- Pray for a heightened awareness of all in our country as we are reminded that, unless God intervenes, on January 22, 2008, abortion at any time for any cause will have been legal for 35 years in this country because of the Supreme Court's decision on Roe vs. Wade.
- Pray for the lives of the 2,300 babies who will be killed today and every day in this country unless God intervenes.
- Pray for the several Pro-Life ministries who have a presence in Jefferson City and Washington when the legislatures are in session...for a Godly witness that would positively impact many legislators.
- Pray for our legislators; that they would make a stand for God's truth and strike down the man made laws that have made the killing legal.
- Pray for abortionists who have killed thousands of babies over the years and who takes an estimated 20 lives on an average week at the Planned Parenthood facility downtown...that the Lord would bring him and each of his colleagues to a realization of the horrible sin they commit and so to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- Pray for the Pro-Life activists and leaders who are persecuted for their stand.  Satan is not pleased with their efforts, and much spiritual warfare is continually waged.  Pray for the Lord's protection and diving guidance for them as they answer His calling.
- Pray for ouselves, for the church of Jesus Christ, that the Lord would convict us much more forcefully of the horrible sin we are allowing to continue by our silence...that He would draw us to what He would have each of us do to end this holocaust.
