I hate the sin that blocks my way, and any dear idol that I own that keeps me from that walk.
I have been with Twin Oaks since the first Sunday Service of Communion in September of 1990.
Prior to that I was Pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian church of Alton, Illinois for 25 years, then Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds at Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri for 16. During that span I was
Stated Clerk of Presbytery for 25 years (under three of “our” Denominations); served as interim Pastor/Moderator for
Trinity Presbyterian Church, Union, Missouri, Glen Ridge Presbyterian Church, Chesterfield, Missouri, Olive Branch Presbyterian Church, St. Louis, Missouri, and, New Port Presbyterian Church, New Port, Missouri. Presently I have given 20 years of service as the Chaplain for the Spirit of St. Louis Composite Squadron. I am Wing Chaplain Emeritus for Missouri Wing after 6 years of service. I continue serving the Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force
Auxiliary with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
I was a Wartime Irregular Student during World War II and allowed to continue Theological Education on an accelerated program, therefore I was at William Jennings Bryan University, Dayton, Tennessee 1942-44; Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas 44-47; and Washington University, St. Louis 47-49. I received my A.B.
from Washington University and my Th.M. from Dallas Seminary.
My wife Vivian shares with me in the ministry. We have served together in our roles since we were married
on 2 December 1948. I was Ordained to the ministry of the Gospel on 26 October of that year. Our daughter,
Barbara Jane lives in Canton, Ohio where she serves as Serials Librarian for Malone College a Christian College.
Our son Paul Albert was taken to heaven from an auto accident in 19 August 1979. His son Robert
Benjamin Moginot lives in Alton, Illinois with his wife Michael Anne. They have our first grandson, Benjamin
Michael, who is about to be 5!
