(Pre-K through 3rd grade)
Children’s Church is a time of instruction for our 4-year-old to 8-year-old children (Pre-K through 3rd grade) held during the sermon portion of our morning worship services. After attending the first part of the worship service with their parents, children are dismissed after the offertory to attend Children’s Church: 1st-3rd grade (Children's Chapel in the Reception Hall); pre-K & K in room 210 (upstairs).
The purpose is to assist parents in teaching their children how to worship God Almighty. The goal is to help our children make the transition from being in the nursery to worshiping in the sanctuary. While in the worship service they become familiar with hymns, praise songs, creeds, scripture verses and prayers so that they can truly join in worship with the rest of the TOPC family in the sanctuary setting. Currently pre-K & K is taught by Rachel McClellan. Grades 1-3 is taught by Pastor Bill Myers. Parent helpers take turns assisting in the instruction.
