BE A VOLUNTEER!

Whether it is on a regular or an occasional basis, there are many fine organizations that seek volunteer help. Some organizations have very specific needs, both in terms of the skill set they are looking for in an individual and in terms of the days of the week and time of day these volunteer services are needed.

Whether you decide to volunteer by yourself or as a family, there are many opportunities available. If you choose to volunteer as a family, you will not only contribute to a good cause and teach your child(ren) important values, you will have the opportunity to spend quality time together, unplugged from the usual family room activities.

 As an individual, or as a family, you should decide what kind of an organization in which you would like to volunteer. If you are involving children, be aware of how your children might react to the clients/situation in which you will find yourself.
