Opportunites for involvement with Wilshire's adult music program abound. Two of our programs welcome the community--meaning, participants do not need to "go to" Wilshire or be a member of Wilshire's congregation.
Sanctuary Choir - In addition to providing weekly leadership in worship through a wide repertoire of sacred music, this volunteer choir works on several major projects each year. Recent examples include Thompson's Nativity According to St. Luke, Handel's Messiah and the recording of a Christmas CD, Carols We Love.
New Song - Wilshire's senior adult choir is open to the community and includes members of many other churches. New Song leads in worship periodically and sings monthly around the community.
Nova Vocal Ensemble - This small auditioned ensemble provides a challenging choral experience and leads in worship on a monthly basis.
Carillon Ringers - Wilshire's adult handbell group plays once a month in morning worship services and also participates in handbell workshops and other playing opportunities.
Wilshire Winds - This instrumental ensemble is open to brass, woodwind and percussion players of all ages and ability levels. The group plays once a month in morning worship, participates in other special services and presents concerts of its own.
