Once a year, Wilshire offers a short-term course designed especially for newly married or nearly married couples. The Beginnings Class gives a biblical perspective on issues most important to couples as they begin a shared life together: Communication, finances, intimacy, spirituality. The class is open to the community. It typically meets on Sunday mornings.
Spring class 2012 class: March 25 - May 6 (7 weeks) If you are recently married or planning to marry this year - Beginnings is for you! The mission of the Beginnings Class is to promote lasting and fulfilling marriages by preparing committed couples to begin their journey with a deeper understanding of each other and of each other’s expectations for marriage.
Prepare Enrich is an inventory that helps couples to identify areas of strength and growth areas within their relationship.
This assessment looks at a couple’s leisure activities, relationship roles, children and parenting expectations, financial management, sexual expectations, spiritual beliefs, family and friends, marriage expectations, communication, and conflict resolution.
The Prepare Enrich inventory is being offered complimentary to participants, and they will have the opportunity for a private session with a church minister to discuss results.
