Caring Connections

Caring Connections is a group of volunteers from the congregation who give their time and talents to help others. All ages are invited to participate in this caring opportunity. Caring Connections provides the following:

  • Planning and assistance with funeral arrangements and receptions at church
  • Planning and coordinating weddings and receptions at church
  • Food preparation and/or delivery for the ill or bereaved

Caring Connections is a flexible volunteer opportunity so it can accommodate volunteers’ schedules. Participants in Caring Connections are called as the need arises. When a need is brought to Woods Church’s attention, we send an e-mail to the group with more information on the need. If you can help, simply respond to the e-mail request or give Betty Butler a call.

The food preparation part of Caring Connections is also very easy for our volunteers. When you receive notification of a need, you simply log into the Lotsa Helping Hands website and let us know you will be able to help.

To become a member of Lotsa Helping Hands CLICK HERE to begin. You will then enter your e-mail address under "Interested in Becoming a Member" and click” continue”. The next screen will ask you to enter your name, address, phone number and create a password. Your request to be a part of Woods Caring Connections will then be submitted.

If you have any questions, please contact Betty Butler at the church, 410-647-2550.
