Arundel house of hope homelessArundel House of Hope - AHOH is a Christian organization that provides emergency, transitional, and permanent, affordable housing for the homeless in Anne Arundel County. In addition, they provide free healthcare to the uninsured through the HOPE Medical Clinic. Volunteers are always needed throughout the year. Contact Phil Bailey or Karen Biagotti 410-863-4888.

Backpack Buddies – Children from Annapolis Middle School are sponsored by Woods members each school year, in this backpacksprogram that provides a backpack filled with nutritious food each Friday to these children who may otherwise go hungry on weekends. Contact Debbe Fry or  Sher Atkinson .

Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake  - Habitat puts faith into action by bringing people together to build decent, affordable homes that change lives, empower families and strengthen communities. Woods is a committed Faith Build Partner Church. There are always construction and non-construction volunteer opportunities and occasional group work dates for Woods. Shop at the Pasadena Habitat ReStore, a discount home improvement center that sells donated building materials to the general public. 100% of the profits support Chesapeake Habitat.

harundalefreelunchHarundale Free Lunch Program - Woods supports this program offered at Harundale Presbyterian in Glen Burnie, with volunteers who serve a hot meal on the first Thursday and Third Monday of each month.

Meals on Wheels  - Over 30,000 meals a year are packed an delivered from the Woods Church kitchen. Volunteers pack mealsonwheelsand deliver nutritious meals to home bound elderly and disabled in our area Monday – Friday. Kitchen volunteer packers work 9:00 – 11:00 am. Representative Payee Program - assists elderly or disabled members of the community, who do not have a capable family member, with the management of their personal finances and bills. Clients must be referred by the appropriate county social service department. Volunteer" Rep Payees" are trained to use a client’s funds to pay bills, make purchases, and coordinate the client's financial needs with the client's case manager.
